Woodwork Incursion
On Wednesday afternoon P/1K and 1 O went to woodwork. We hadn't been there before, so we thought it was going to be exciting. It was. Very. The Preps were there before us, so we had to wait a little. Then we went in and sat on the floor. The teacher gave us all a pencil, a triangular piece of wood, and a rectangular piece of wood. We traced the triangle shape onto the rectangle right there, on the floor. Then we made a snake line at the front of the room and gave the teacher our blue triangles and got a piece of sandpaper. Then we went to our desks with a partner and sanded the edges. Then we all got a saw and sawed off the wings. After that, as usual, we sanded them (and, of course, the body of the plane.) Then we traced where the wings went on the plane with our pencil. After that, we got some glue and stuck the wings and the tail on the plane. Then we had to take it back to our desk and hold it down for twenty seconds. Eventually we let it go and we got a sticker. I liked going to Woodwork and had lots of fun.By Grace
